My Journey to the Canvas

My love for creation started early, rooted in the simple joy of a fresh box of crayons. As I grew, so did my passion for the natural world, shaped by childhood years spent camping, fishing, and exploring the wilderness with my family.
In college, a single drawing class completely changed my direction. I spent the next five years immersed in the art annex, exploring drawing, watercolor, oils, ceramics, and lithography. I eventually graduated with a BA Extended Major in Art. While life and a career took me on necessary detours, my dedication to creation never stopped. I continued to hone my skills, showing in small galleries and taking on private commissions.

Capturing the Spark of Life

Today, I am guided by the profound moments that make us pause. Whether I am working on an expressive painting, a detailed graphite portrait, or a fine art nature photograph, my goal remains the same: to capture the essence, spirit, and spark of life in my subjects.
I look for the quiet, honest moments where spirit reveals itself—from the powerful presence of the animal nation to the raw beauty of the wilderness. My hope is that my work invites you to slow down, feel deeply, and see the world a little differently
