Montana Antelope

The Pronghorn or Antelope is such an amazing animal. They can live in almost any environment from deserts, grasslands, thickets and even swamps. The antelope are known for their speed and agility. Adults run up to 60 miles per hour and the fawns up to 25 miles per hour within a day or two of being born.  They are quick witted  and very adaptable. Antelope teach us how to know when something is not right or dangerous. They alert each other with their white tails raised and white rump over several miles to warn the herd. Their eyesight is 8 times that of humans and wide angle. 

When you travel the great plains of the west, some think the scenery is boring. But you will see them off in the distance or right near the road. They will jump over a fence on the run like it's not even there.
